Reggaeton super star Don Omar, was involved in a motorcycle accident this past Sunday (March 14), near Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Don Omar was transferred immediately to his family doctor and administered aid in private to keep the press uninformed of the accident.

Don Omar suffered light injuries and scrapings over his body. Raphy Pina (owner of Pina Records) tweeted that Don Omar has large scrapes/scratches on his stomache, thighs, heel, and other areas around the muscles. Don Omar has been ordered to rest for the next 72 hours.

On Twitter, Daddy Yankee has reported it and even Franco ‘El Gorila’ tweeted “all beef aside, I hope you get well Don Omar, I’ll keep you in my prayers.”

Hampton, GA – NASCAR’s Juan Pablo Montoya had race leader Kurt Busch in his sights, but spun his tires on the final green-white-checkered restart and had to settle for a third-place finish in the Kobalt Tools 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

“[I] never really had the fastest car except at the end before the last pit stop,” said Montoya, who led just three laps. “We were coming. I thought we had a chance to get to the 2 [Busch].

“Once you moved up the bottom in [Turns] 3 and 4, I thought, ‘Here we go; I think we got him.’”

Montoya was running down Busch until Carl Edwards spun Brad Keselowski, bringing out a caution flag with three laps remaining and setting up a green-white-checkered finish.

He charged from fifth to second on the restart, but another caution flag for a multicar wreck set up another green-white-checkered restart.

He had trouble on the final restart, however, allowing Busch to get away and runnerup Matt Kenseth to get by Montoya.

“First restart was pretty good,” Montoya said. “Second one [I] spun the hell out of the tires. Kind of surprised me.”

Unlike several other drivers, Montoya didn’t encounter any problems with his tires during the race.

“I think when you have a good balance, I think you can look after the tires a little bit better,” he said. “I’m one of the [drivers] that used to blow tires here always. To be on the other side is actually kind of nice.

“Goodyear improved the hell out of the tire from what we had last year.”

Seems like Joe Muñoz didn’t make the impact necessary to stay on Season 9 of American Idol on Fox. Muñoz seemed surprised and was at a loss for words.

“America votes, so … I wasn’t expecting anything. I was just waiting for things to happen,” he said.

This sounds like one of the toughest first rounds recorded in the show’s history.

Along with Munoz goes Tyler Grady, Janell Wheeler, and Ashley Rodriguez as well.

Rodriguez seemed genuinely irritated by her elimination, but she thanked “Everyone who has supported me from day one, my mom, my dad, my family. I love you guys.”

Two teenage girls snatched another teenager’s unborn baby from her womb in a crude cesarean operation, Colombian newspaper El Tiempo reported Thursday.

The two unnamed girls, aged 14 and 16, assaulted Maria Amparo Rivera Girata, 18, in the small town of Duitama, northern Colombia, on Monday.

According to El Tiempo, the pair held a knife to Girata’s throat and tied her up, before cutting her uterus open and removing the infant.

Girata, who was seven months pregnant, was later found still conscious with severe abdomen injuries.

The two girls were arrested with the baby, who survived the ordeal, soon after.

The 16-year-old suspect reportedly miscarried during a previous pregnancy and plotted to steal Girata’s infant to replace her own, in order to stop her boyfriend finding out.

Ernesto Giraldo, head of Boyaca hospital’s intensive care unit, told El Tiempo that it was possible a third person with knowledge of cesarean surgery was present.

“It’s remarkable that these two girls could have conducted this surgery without injuring other organs close to the uterus,” he said.

“All the more if you bear in mind that the victim was supposedly awake and struggling, trying to prevent them from removing her child.”

Girata was in a critical condition Thursday in hospital and her two month premature baby boy is said to be recovering satisfactorily in an incubator.
