Did you know that heart disease is the number one killer of Latinas? What if saving one woman’s life was as easy as choosing the right color to wear? Join BadBoyBroadcast.com in going RED to raise awareness of heart disease in our community.
Every year, during American Heart Month, all across the country people wear red to show their support for Go Red For Women and to help raise awareness of heart disease. National Wear Red Day is Friday, February 5, and as part of the Go Red Por Tu Corazón movement, we are asking you to GO RED and help save a woman’s life by speaking from your heart about the increased risk of heart disease in Latinas.
Why should you participate?
On average, Latinas are likely to develop heart disease 10 years earlier than Caucasian women. Today, more than 8 percent of Latinas, age 18 and older, have heart disease. That’s why we invite you to be a part of Go Red Por Tu Corazón this February during American Heart Month to educate Latinas about the threat of heart disease and empower them to make life-saving choices for themselves and their families.
How can you help?
“Going Red” is as easy as putting on a red dress, a red tie or a red dress pin. By simply WEARING RED to show your support, you will help raise awareness of heart disease in Latinas.
