Reggaeton super star Don Omar, was involved in a motorcycle accident this past Sunday (March 14), near Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Don Omar was transferred immediately to his family doctor and administered aid in private to keep the press uninformed of the accident.

Don Omar suffered light injuries and scrapings over his body. Raphy Pina (owner of Pina Records) tweeted that Don Omar has large scrapes/scratches on his stomache, thighs, heel, and other areas around the muscles. Don Omar has been ordered to rest for the next 72 hours.

On Twitter, Daddy Yankee has reported it and even Franco ‘El Gorila’ tweeted “all beef aside, I hope you get well Don Omar, I’ll keep you in my prayers.”

California-based Deejay Callen has created an unofficial video for DJ EDub’s remix of Chicago club rockers the Jump Smokers’ new spring break anthem “Rock It Like It’s Spring Break” featuring Pitbull for YourRemix.com.

After 12 years of making hits, Reggaeton duo Trebol Clan has split, according to music website RealTalkReggaeton.net. No specific reason has been given for the duo’s break up.

Trebol Clan member Pery announced his separation from the duo on March 4 and will launch a solo career as “3bol, La Rey de la Lenta” working with Dr. Joe & Mr. Frank on a solo album for the Blow Music Factory label. No word yet on the future plans of Berto the other member of Trebol Clan.

Trebol Clan’s last album, “Fantasi­a Musical,” which was released in summer of 2009, didn’t seem to impress Reggaeton fans much.

After taking place in several different countries, the next installment of “The Fast and the Furious” is going to go to South America. Vin Diesel has just taken it to his Facebook to inform that the crew for “Fast Five” have begun scouting in Brazil.

“Had a meeting with Justin Lin today regarding the Fast saga… some daring but fascinating thoughts in terms of action set pieces… and relationships, old and new,” so he wrote on Thursday, March 4. “The team is on their way to Brazil this evening, to scout, and to see what selection of cars there are.”

The first film was set in Southern California, where the fourth movie “Fast and Furious” also took place. The sequel “2 Fast 2 Furious” and the third installment “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” meanwhile were filmed in Florida and Tokyo, Japan respectively.

The story of “Fast Five” reportedly will follow Vin Diesel’s Dom and Paul Walker’s Brian as fugitives who are pursued by relentless lawmen. Justin Lin is set to serve behind the lens when the film kick off production later this year with the script penned by Chris Morgan. Neal Moritz produces while Universal Pictures eyes June 10, 2011 U.S. release date.

Reggaetonero Baby Rasta was seriously injured in an apparent drive-by shooting that happened at 12:04 a.m. early Wednesday morning outside of a recording studio at Jardines de Country Club, in Carolina, Puerto Rico, according to the Police Department.

Injured were Wilmer Alicea Curras, better known as Baby Rasta, as well as Iván Núñez Cotto and Raymond Fuentes Echevarría. The three were transported to Río Piedras Medical Center in Carolina. Where Baby Rasta underwent emergency surgery. Doctors described his condition Wednesday morning as delicate but stable.

Police official Eduardo Andean said that Baby Rasta and Fuentes Echevarría were found in critical condition after receiving mulitiple gun shot wounds. Police said the shooters were inside a vehicle and waited for the trio to step outside of the studio before opening fire with a hail of bullets. Authorities recovered more than 100 bullet casings of various caliber at the scene. Sources say two cars were involved in the drive-by shooting: a 2001 Honda Accord and a 2001 Ford Taurus.
