Jennifer Lopez has assured fans over the future of her new album LOVE? after parting ways with her longtime music label – the record is set for release this summer.
The singer’s seventh studio album with Sony’s Epic Records was due out in April, but her manager announced earlier this week that Lopez had left the label.
The ‘Jenny from the Block’ hitmaker was subsequently hit by rumors she fell out with record bosses at Sony over her new music, with online gossips alleging the album had been thrown into jeopardy by the split.
But Lopez is adamant she “reached friendly terms” with Sony chiefs over her departure, and she’s keen for Love? to hit shelves as soon as possible.
Lopez says, “I am making this statement to put an end to any confusion in regards to my next album, titled Love. I have belonged to the Sony family since the beginning of my career as a singer and together we’ve had great success.
“I have fulfilled my contractual responsibilities with Sony/Epic up to this point, and we have both reached friendly terms about my departure from the label.
“I’m also happy to say that we’ve found a new home for my album Love and that it is slated for release in the summer of 2010.”

Seems like Joe Muñoz didn’t make the impact necessary to stay on Season 9 of American Idol on Fox. Muñoz seemed surprised and was at a loss for words.
“America votes, so … I wasn’t expecting anything. I was just waiting for things to happen,” he said.
This sounds like one of the toughest first rounds recorded in the show’s history.
Along with Munoz goes Tyler Grady, Janell Wheeler, and Ashley Rodriguez as well.
Rodriguez seemed genuinely irritated by her elimination, but she thanked “Everyone who has supported me from day one, my mom, my dad, my family. I love you guys.”
Let’s see what else is in store for this American Idol Season 9 episodes.
American Idol airs Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 7pm CT on Fox.

The two unnamed girls, aged 14 and 16, assaulted Maria Amparo Rivera Girata, 18, in the small town of Duitama, northern Colombia, on Monday.
According to El Tiempo, the pair held a knife to Girata’s throat and tied her up, before cutting her uterus open and removing the infant.
Girata, who was seven months pregnant, was later found still conscious with severe abdomen injuries.
The two girls were arrested with the baby, who survived the ordeal, soon after.
The 16-year-old suspect reportedly miscarried during a previous pregnancy and plotted to steal Girata’s infant to replace her own, in order to stop her boyfriend finding out.
Ernesto Giraldo, head of Boyaca hospital’s intensive care unit, told El Tiempo that it was possible a third person with knowledge of cesarean surgery was present.
“It’s remarkable that these two girls could have conducted this surgery without injuring other organs close to the uterus,” he said.
“All the more if you bear in mind that the victim was supposedly awake and struggling, trying to prevent them from removing her child.”
Girata was in a critical condition Thursday in hospital and her two month premature baby boy is said to be recovering satisfactorily in an incubator.

Joe Muñoz is a guy we saw very little of earlier this season on Fox’s American Idol. The 20-year old Californian sang Jason Mraz’s “You and I Both” on Wednesday nights Top 12 guys show. He looked a little nervous at first, but his voice eventually shined through and rose to he challenge. He needs to work on the stage presence. He could do well, if he doesn’t get lot in the shuffle.
Here’s wat the judges said,
Ellen: “Great stage presence – I loved it.”
Randy: “You’ve got a great voice. I think you worked it out.”
Kara: “In terms of the singing, tonight, I think you’ve been the best.”
Simon: “I think it was an OK, forgettable performance. In 10 seconds we’re gonna forget that performance.”

One of the top favorites on Fox’s American Idol competition, Andrew Garcia, got the last spot of the night for his performance in the Top 12 guys show last night. The stay-at-home father sang “Sugar We’re Going Down,” from Fallout Boy, a song well-suited for his voice. He sounded pretty good, but not quite the power of his earlier performances. He was still one of the best of the night though.
Here’s what the judges said,
Simon: “I was disappointed with that. It was too indulgent and not original enough. I don’t think tonight you took a risk.”
Kara: “I really like you and I hope we see you for many many weeks.”
Randy: “Listen, I’m a fan of you. Go back to being you.”
Ellen: “When you shined was when you started smiling and opening up. We like ya.”

‘Armada Latina’ is Cypress Hill’s new single off their forthcoming release ‘Rise Up,’ dropping April 6. Featuring rapper Pitbull and singer/songwriter Marc Anthony, the hip-hop song was helmed by American producer Jim Jonsin (T.I., Lil Wayne, Game) — who is currently working on Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming album ‘Love?’
Pitbull and Marc Anthony are just a few of the featured artists Cypress reeled in for this ambitious project: Young De, Rage Against the Machine/Street Sweeper Social Club guitarist Tom Morello, Evidence, the Alchemist, Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda, System of a Down guitarist/vocalist Daron Malakian, Everlast, Cheech & Chong and introducing artist Kannabis Kartel augment the 15-track album.

A female contestant is going to win season 9 of American Idol. That’s what Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell have been telling journalists during their early-season press tours, and that was also the point driven home by Ryan Seacrest at the start of Tuesday night’s telecast. ”You’ve said that it’s gonna be the girls’ year. What is it that stood out about this group of girls?” he asked Simon, before any of us had seen a single live performance from this year’s Top 24.
Ashley Rodriguez, according to internet betting site Bodog has 7-1 odds of winning before Tuesday night’s broadcast, was the second performer of the night on Fox’s American Idol. Dressed in a white top, silver jacket, a gold chain and heels, she gave Leona Lewis’ “Happy” a shot. Unfortunately, she seemed to miss.
While Kara DioGuardi said there were “nice moments” and she expected Rodriguez to move on in the competition, there also were “definitely moments that weren’t great.” Randy Jackson said the song didn’t allow Rodriguez to show who she was, and Ellen DeGeneres suggested she “take a risk” next time.
“This isn’t going particularly well for you, is it?” Simon Cowell asked Rodriguez.
Cowell called her performance “clumsy” and said he didn’t like the arrangement.
“You could be in trouble after tonight,” he said.

Charlie Sheen’s publicist says the actor has entered rehab and is taking a break from the hit CBS show “Two and a Half Men.”
Publicist Stan Rosenfield wrote in a statement Tuesday that Sheen has voluntarily entered rehab for an unspecified reason and is seeking privacy.
“As a preventative measure, Charlie Sheen has entered a rehabilitation facility,” the publicist wrote in a four-sentence statement that did not specify why Sheen, 44, was seeking treatment. The statement sought privacy for the embattled actor.
Sheen’s bosses expressed support for the actor in a statement that said production of “Two and a Half Men” would temporarily stop.
“CBS, Warner Bros. Television and (Executive Producer) Chuck Lorre support Charlie Sheen in his decision today to begin voluntary inpatient care at a treatment center,” the statement said. “We wish him nothing but the best as he deals with this personal matter.”
The statement offered no timetable for when the show would resume taping.
TMZ reports Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller, currently has the couple’s two children at the rehab facility she is at.
Mueller’s facility allows children to say with patients, according to TMZ.
Sheen entering rehab comes roughly two months after his arrest in Colorado after being accused of holding a knife to his wife’s throat and threatening to kill her. Sheen faces a felony domestic violence charge in the case.
